His research with Decision Integrity includes projects with the UK Government Office of Science and Innovation Foresight Programme, the NHS,  The Schumacher Institute for Sustainable Systems, The Jerwood Foundation, The Carnegie UK Trust,  Shell and Statoil. He is also World Modelling Research Coordinator with The International Futures Forum, and a founder member.

He has taught on the Executive MBA  at The London Business School on Visual Thinking and Team Learning and on an elective programme, "The Art and Science of the Long View". He helped facilitate the foundation of SOL (the Society for Organisational Learning) International and the foundation of the International Futures Forum of which he is a member. Tony has published papers on various aspects of educational technology, systems thinking and facilitation and co-authored two books on Scenario Thinking and has contributed to a book on Cybernetics and Management.

Tony is the founder of Decision Integrity Limited, a company pioneering ways to facilitate better decisions through application of holistic thinking, systems mapping, integrative group processes and sustainable values. His current focus on decision integrity is based on investigating, mapping and modelling complex situations using a range of systems sciences. In parallel he is introducing hexintegrationTM as way to facilitate the improvement of policies and decisions requiring interdisciplinary integration.

He invented, back in the 70's, the now well-known hexagon mapping method. Tony has worked over several decades in the fields of strategic management, scenario planning, organisation learning, strategic modelling, innovation and improvement of decision support methods. The foundation of this innovation is his five year period in the 60s as Senior Research Fellow of  the Institute for the Comparative Study of History, Philosophy and the Sciences, researching in qualitative systems thinking and learning methods.
