





He invented, back in the 70's, the now well-known hexagon mapping method. Tony has worked over several decades in the fields of strategic management, scenario planning, organisation learning, strategic modeling, innovation and improvement of decision support methods. The foundation of this innovation is his five year period in the 60s as Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for the Comparative Study of History, Philosophy and the Sciences, researching in qualitative systems thinking and learning methods.
His research with Decision Integrity includes projects with the UK Government Office of Science and Innovation Foresight Programme, the NHS, The International Futures Forum, The Schumacher Institute for Sustainable Systems, The Jerwood Foundation, The Carnegie UK Trust, Shell and Statoil.
His consulting experience as Managing Director of Metabridge, include 3M, Agilent Technologies, BP , BT, Boots, The Co-operative Group, Fujitsu, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, ICI, Jardine Pacific, The London Business School, the National Health Service, the Police Service, Rank Hovis, Royal Nederlands PTT, the Shell Group, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, The Scottish Executive, Statoil, Unilever, University of Dundee, Graduate Business School University of Strathclyde,
He has taught on the Executive MBA at The London Business School on Visual Thinking and Team Learning and on an elective programme, "The Art and Science of the Long View". He helped facilitate the foundation of SOL (the Society for Organisational Learning) International and the foundation of the International Futures Forum of which he is a member. Tony has published papers on various aspects of educational technology, systems thinking and facilitation and co-authored two books on Scenario Thinking.
